ROCK NEEDS RIVER IS HERE

I’m over the moon to announce the official Feb. 1 debut of my book, ROCK NEEDS RIVER: A MEMOIR ABOUT A VERY OPEN ADOPTION. It’s the tale of how I became Grace’s mom and our relationship with her birth parents, who became homeless and stayed with us for a while.
Everything you could ever want to know is a page or two over on RockNeedsRiver.com, including book tour stops, where to order, reviews and even a fun little video.

Thanks so much for sharing your story. My daughter and her husband are in the adoption process, waiting for a child. I appreciate your insights into adoption from all perspectives. It will better help me support my new grandchild and his or her parents.

I loved your memoir! I can relate, not that I adopted but I did have miscarriages, fertility issues (due to my agree) and we ended up having to do IVF. I now have a daughter that is 18 months and I’m 43.

Thank you for sharing your story.

I just finished Rock Needs River. I enjoyed reading about your journey. It was very appropriate for me as my granddaughter is adopted, and it is an open one. The birth parents are in a different state and have only seen my granddaughter 2 or 3 times since she was born. But, my daughter and her husband send pictures all the time. They were like you, able to get their daughter about 15 hours after her birth and rooming in with her at the hospital. D, 4 years old, knows she is adopted and can tell you her birth parent’s names. She has made our entire family extremely happy.
I am so tiff you and hope you, Grace, Bridget, and Ben continue to be blessed.
